The Rustic Ruby is a 2.5-acre waterfront cabin in Morganton, Georgia, 15 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge. Watch the leaves turn from your own dock, then settle in by the gas fireplace as the evenings turn cool. It sleeps five, with two bedrooms, a stone-hearth living room, a fire pit with swings, and a screened-in porch.

Wake to mist rising off the pond, coffee in hand on your own dock. The pond is shared with a couple of neighboring homeowners and never open to the public, so it stays peaceful and uncrowded. Fish for bass, trout, catfish, and bluegill from the water's edge (bring your own gear), or settle into the screened-in porch and watch the pond glimmer through the trees.
When the evening air turns cool, load the swing fire pit with firewood picked up in Blue Ridge and watch the string lights take over as the sky goes dark. Inside, two gas fireplaces, one in the living room and one in the primary bedroom, keep the cabin warm, and in the holiday season the living room gets a Christmas tree and garland on the mantel.

Check-in is after 4:00 PM and checkout is before 11:00 AM. Check-in is self-service with a smart lock, so you can walk in with your code and never have to meet anyone or fumble with keys.
How many guests does the cabin sleep?
The Rustic Ruby sleeps up to five guests, with a king bed in the primary bedroom, a queen bed in the guest bedroom, and a full-size pullout sofa in the living room. There is one full bathroom.
Are pets or smoking allowed?
No. Pets are not currently allowed at The Rustic Ruby, in part because of the pond, and the cabin is smoke-free inside and out. Please plan your trip accordingly.
Can we fish from the dock?
Yes. The cabin has its own dock on the pond, and bass, trout, catfish and bluegill are all caught here. Bring your own fishing gear, since equipment is not provided. The pond is shared with a couple of neighboring homeowners and is not open to the public.
